How VitalPal handles your data.

Information we collect

VitalPal collects account information such as username, email address, password credentials, and authentication tokens. The app also stores meal entries, exercise entries, natural-language notes, nutrition estimates, activity estimates, dates, and uploaded meal photos.

How we use information

We use your information to create and secure your account, save your private log, show daily totals, process AI-assisted estimates, provide support, and manage paid subscriptions when billing is enabled.

AI processing

When you request an AI-assisted estimate, VitalPal may send the text and meal photo context you provide to OpenAI or another AI provider so the provider can return structured nutrition or activity data.

Payments

Paid subscriptions are processed by Lemon Squeezy. VitalPal stores local subscription state, but payment details such as card numbers are handled by Lemon Squeezy and are not stored by VitalPal.

Data access

Your entries are private to your account. We do not sell personal data. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect the service, or to work with service providers that help operate the app.

Data retention

We keep account and entry data while your account is active or as needed to operate the service, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, and maintain security.
